DEVELOPMENT PHASES

There are two major development stages that will transform the existing Spotsylvania Mall into the Spotsylvania Towne Centre. The first phase of the development will be the renovation of the existing mall that will upgrade the mall to modern standards. The second phase will be the expansion of the mall. Included in this expansion are a life-style center, a multi screen cinema, together with additional peripheral developments such as, a major luxury hotel, an upscale grocery store, and free standing restaurants. In addition, some of our major department stores will expand and bring in new merchandising lines.

RENOVATION

The Spotsylvania Mall Company will undergo a complete renovation. Proposed improvements include but are not limited to: the reconstruction of all the existing mall entrances with new entrance canopies as well as a beautiful porte cochere at the north main entrance; new porcelain tile floor coverings throughout the mall; plush carpeted soft seating areas; and thirty natural skylights. EXPANSION

The Spotsylvania Towne Centre will include not only the renovated mall but also an open-air life-style center with a village-like theme, housing stores of varied heights to help create an impression of a settlement built over time. It will be designed to mimic the main street of yesteryear with pedestrian friendly sidewalks and roadways that wind through the centre with lavish landscaping, architectural details, sit-down restaurants, entertainment components, and a host of upscale shopping. In addition to the life-style center, some of our major department stores will expand and bring in upscale products.
